VPS for a personal weather station?

peter2151peter2151 Member, Provider
I've got a small weather station at home and want to host a dashboard for it on a VPS. hostpro.com came up - is it a good fit for something like this? I'd need daily backups and DDoS protection.

For a personal weather station, a small VPS should be plenty. I’d mainly look for decent backups, DDoS protection, and a reliable network. I’ve also been comparing VPS options on HelloServer while looking at different setups. No need to go big unless you actually start hitting resource limits.

  • Trustworthy VPS deals can be got from inet.ws.
The teams at them are very helpful and knowledgeable.
They are very cost effective also.

  • Think that you will not regret a thing if you choose Exmasters.com VPS hosting. You will get free double RAM, free double CPU or double SSD NVMe space. The hosting infrastructure feels professionally maintained and optimized, ensuring that even during peak traffic hours my applications remain responsive and dependable.

I came across HostPro while comparing VPS providers, and their setup is worth a look. They use KVM virtualization and NVMe storage, with VPS locations in Warsaw, Amsterdam, and Tampa. Daily backups are retained for 30 days, and restoration is possible for the entire server or for individual databases, folders, and files. They also have 24/7 technical support.

Have a look at VPS accounts from decent hosting providers: scalahosting.com and operavps.com.
They are very easy to work with and do a great job of keeping the sites up all the time. They are also priced well so that they are affordable to basically anyone who would want to use them.

Among the hosts I've used, hostpro.com is the one currently powering my VPS. Daily backups covering all services mean failed updates, hacking, or data damage come with a clear recovery route. Support is staffed 24/7 by qualified people and is free for any inquiry.

In order to be able to help and prompt you, you need more information in any case. For example, how many cores and GB of RAM are required? Where should the server be located?

I suggest you pay attention to our NVME VPS that are located in different parts of the world. There are a large number of packages and you will find what you are interested in. I recommend paying attention to package N2 and higher so that your server can safely process scripts and stuff.

It's easy to focus on CPU and RAM while overlooking what actually protects your data. I've been with hostpro.com for a while, and their daily backups of all services have allowed me to restore data after damage, failed updates, or hacking scenarios. Their technical support is qualified and reachable 24/7, answering any question without charge.
